Charlie Puth was born on December 2, 1991. He started out his career on YouTube and has become a famous singer/songwriter ever since.

“See You Again,” which he wrote for the movie Furious 7, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 weeks, from May 23 to July 3, 2015.

He became interested in music when he was ten years old after his friend introduced him to rap songs like “Slam.” It wasn’t until high school that he decided to start making music himself, though. Some of Charlie’s hit songs include “Marvin Gaye” (2015), “One Call Away” (2016), and “Attention” (2017).

As far as awards go, Charlie has won 1 Grammy Award, 6 Teen Choice Awards, one iHeartRadio Music Award, and 2 MTV Video Music Awards.

He has also been nominated for 19 Billboard Music Awards. He says he plans on releasing his album in 2019. It will be released by Interscope Records, which is part of Universal Music Group’s Island Def Jam division.
