About Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne was born on August 12 1992, in London, UK. Her mother is Pandora Anne Delevingne, and her father is property developer Charles Hamar Delevingne.

Cara’s paternal great-grandfather was the English politician, Sir Jocelyn Stevens. At the same time, her maternal grandfather was a French aristocrat Count Pierre de Polignac. The latter was also related to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis on his wife’s side and Diana Spencer via Princess Caroline of Monaco (did you know that Cara has the same relation as Prince Harry? It turns out they are distant cousins!)

At age 14, she attended boarding school in Wiltshire, England, with Nicole Appleton (British pop group All Saints). She studied at New York City’s Professional Children’s School, where she trained in drama and dance.

Cara’s first significant acting role came in 2008 when she was cast in the film adaptation of Anna Godbersen’s novel “The Luxe, ” set during New York City’s Gilded Age. She played Diana Holland, and her performance received positive reviews from critics who noted her beauty while praising her ability to show vulnerability on screen and command attention with just a look (like many other actresses).

She has also appeared in shows such as Law & Order: the U.K., Episodes, The Face, Extras and had a cameo appearance alongside some Hollywood royalty like Kevin Spacey and Anjelica Huston, among others for an episode of Weeds titled “Bizarro Jerry”.

Cara has also been featured in numerous magazines, including British and American Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan.

She is currently filming a movie with Matt Dillon called “The Girl in the Book”, which will be released later this year or early 2020 (still being determined).

In 2012 she was cast as Mia Grey to adapt to Stephenie Meyer’s novel “Twilight”. The film broke box office records worldwide, becoming one of the most successful films ever to gross over $700 million at its release and break other records such as the highest-grossing opening day within North America. More than $72 million earned during that period.
