About AnnaSophia Robb

AnnaSophia Robb (born December 8, 1993) is an American actress. She is a child actress who made her lead debut as the title role in Samantha: An American Girl Holiday (2004). She then went on to star in features such as Because of Winn-Dixie (2005), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

(2005), A Northern Tale: Based On The Short Story By Hans Christian Andersen (2006), Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008)

Her role as Leslie Burke in Bridge to Terabithia (2007) gave her recognition and praise, along with two Young Artist Awards. Her subsequent roles include Race to Witch Mountain (2009), Soul Surfer (2011), and The Way, Way Back (2013). Playing the lead role of Carrie Bradshaw on The C.W.’s T.V. series The Carrie Diaries from 2013-2014 earned her even more acclaim. In 2019, she played an essential part in Hulu’s miniseries The Act.

Robb was born in Denver, CO. Her mother Janet is an interior designer, and her father David is an architect. She has a blended Danish, English, Irish, Scottish and Swedish background.

After being home-schooled, her life changed dramatically when she started taking an interest in acting. Elle began by performing on a theatre stage that could fit 500 people, which is much larger than a regular theatre. She also competed with other teenagers for four and a half years in dancing and gymnastics before quitting to focus on her acting career. At the age of 18, after graduating from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado, Elle went off to study at Notre Dame University, where she is now pursuing degrees in Economics and Business.
