People call Shah Rukh Khan the “Baadshah” of India. He is an actor and has also made movies. They call him a “King” too.
The government of India has awarded him the Padma Shri. The government of France has given him the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Legion of Honor. He is very famous in Asia and all over the world, especially among people who are Indian. His movies are viral.
Khan started his career in many T.V. shows. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with a movie called Deewana. He mostly played the bad guy in the film. Then he changed and became famous because of romantic movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Mohabbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…(2001).
Khan is a prolific producer in the Indian film industry, with stakeholder positions at Red Chillies Entertainment and its subsidiaries and ownership of the Kolkata Knight Riders (IPL) cricket team and Trinbago Knight Riders. He is also a frequent television presenter and stage show performer.
He is often called Brand SRK because of his many endorsement and entrepreneurship ventures. His philanthropic efforts have given people health care and relief from disasters. In 2011, he was honoured with UNESCO’s Pyramid con Marni award for providing children with an education. In 2018, he received the World Economic Forum’s Crystal Award for his leadership in championing women’s and children’s rights in India. He is often one of the most influential people in Indian culture, according to Newsweek.
