Selena Marie Gomez was born July 22, 1992) She is an American singer, actor and producer. Born in Texas, Gomez first became famous as the star of the children’s T.V. show Barney & Friends before moving on to acting in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place in her teens.
Gomez has acted in films, including “Another Cinderella Story,” “Princess Protection Program,”
“Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie,” “Ramona and Beezus.” Other films include
“Spring Breakers,”
“Getaway,” and the upcoming film “A Rainy Day in New York.”
She has also voiced the character of Mavis in the Hotel Transylvania film franchise and serves as executive producer for 13 Reasons Why on Netflix and Living Undocumented.
Gomez released her third album with Selena Gomez & the Scene, which peaked within the top ten on Billboard and attained gold certification. Two years later, she released a second album as part of a solo artist that debuted at number one in America.

Besides making music, she launched two fashion lines (Dream Out Loud & 13 Reasons Why), a fragrance (13 Reason Why), three handbag lines (2 Wild Hearts by Selena Gomez & Baroque), partnered with Coach Styleable to create exclusive clothing for her fans, co-founded July Moonhead Productions production company with Brie Larson; which will produce films.
