Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra was born July 18 1982 in Jamshedpur, Bihar. Her father is a retired Indian Air Force officer and her mother is an architect from Sikkim.
She was educated at the Rishi Valley School near Chennai. She graduated with degrees in psychology and international relations from Marymount Manhattan College before completing her MBA at INSEAD business school .
Priyanka has been working since she was three years old for various T.V. commercials and projects such as The World This Week on Doordarshan, Kriss Kross’s video clip “Jump”, Benetton’s Unhate campaign (with Robert De Niro)
In 2002 Priyanka won Miss India Universe. It helped her get a job with Indian T.V. channel Zee Telefilms.
In 2004 she was the first runner up in the Miss World competition, and in 2006 she became India’s fourth woman to win the title of Mrs World .
She is fluent in French, Hindi, Urdu and English. She also has some knowledge of Spanish, Punjabi (her mother tongue) , Gujarati, Tamil and Telugu.
Priyanka assisted UNICEF as an advocate for children’s rights from 2009-2011 before signing on as Brand Ambassador for L.G. Electronics’ Lotus range of mobiles phones.
