Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969) is an American singer and dancer. She was a Fly Girl dancer on the show In Living Color from 1991 to 1993. Then she wanted to be an actress for movies too. In 1997, she played the part of Selena in a movie about her life story and became the first Latin actress to earn more than $1 million on a movie. She also starred in two other movies called Anaconda (1997) and Out of Sight (1998).
Lopez has made a lot of music and movies. With her music, she helped make Latin pop more popular in the United States and starred in The Cell’s movie. She also became the first woman to have both a number one album and film at the same time. In 2002, she made an album of remixes that was number one on the US Billboards for many weeks.
After Gigli (2003), which was a bad movie, Jennifer Lopez starred in 2 successful movies. Her 5th album was very popular, and her 6th album is coming soon.
