Jacqueline Fernandez is an actress and a model from Sri Lanka. She won the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant in 2006. Since 2009, she has been acting in Hindi films.

Born in a family of mixed nationalities, Fernandez was raised in Bahrain. She went to school and wrote reports about things that happened on TV when she was young. Later, she became a model for Miss Universe Sri Lanka. She won the contest and got to go to Miss Universe 2006.

In 2009, Fernandez went to India. She auditioned for a play there and it worked. Later she acted in a movie called Aladin. This was her first acting job and it was successful. In 2011, she did another movie called Murder 2 which was also successful because many people watched it.

This was followed by a role in Housefull 2, which is a successful comedy. From that movie, she got an award for Best Supporting Actress. She also took on roles in Race 2 and Kick. These movies were both successes and made lots of money at the box office. She has also taken on roles in Housefull 3 and Judwaa 2, which were comedies that people liked too.

Fernandez is a judge on the show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She also does stage shows and is involved in humanitarian work.
