About Blake Lively
Blake Lively was born on August 25, 1987, in Los Angeles. Her mother is a retired schoolteacher named Elaine Lively, and her father is a business executive. She has two siblings, Robyn and Jason Lively.
Blake’s parents divorced when she was six years old, after which the family moved to Greenwich Village, where they lived for five years before returning to their original Home in Hollywood Hills where Blake attended North Hollywood High School graduating from that institution at age 16 with honours as one of 93 students out of 1800 who the faculty nominated as most likely to succeed.
Lively began acting professionally at 11-years-old because her mother thought it would be good for them both – Elaine hoped it could give Blake’s career direction while also providing some sense of normality in her life.
She made a commercial for Italian television when she was 12 years old, then later appeared as a guest on the show “Kids Say the Darnedest Things”. Lively’s breakthrough role came at age 16 when she was cast opposite George Clooney from ages 17 to 20 on T.V.’s “E.R.” during which time Elaine only saw Blake once -, and that was because they were filming scenes together. She played his girlfriend, who comes back after being away for five months with amnesia while he tries to determine whether or not she is still alive.
